First Kiss Thailand is a three-part-thriller film directed by Pimpaka Towira and produced by Peter Heah. The film's plot revolves around the story of two teenagers who accidentally fall in love with each other while they are still in school and explore their relationship for the rest of their years at university. Based on a popular Thai novel, this Thai romantic-comedy will definitely tug at your heartstrings and keep you guessing until the very end. First Kiss Thailand is a Thai-Chinese romantic-comedy film starring Bee Siaw, Aneesh Upadesamit, Achita Sikamana, Jarunee Suksomjit, Natdanai Kongrungroj and others. The film is based on "Twoo Wut Nai (ทวิเวท ไน่ ไน่)" novel by Kanchana Boonchaudhuri. It is the first Thai film to be released simultaneously in Thai cinemas and Chinese cinemas on March 24, 2015 (Easter Sunday). The film will also be released in Malaysia on April 3. First Kiss Thailand takes place in the summer of 2013. It follows the story of two students, Jintanat Rompoo and Pee Onchan, who have been best friends since they were six years old. They share a kiss one night, but they don't know that night will change their lives forever. The next day brings a surprise for Jintanat as he discovers that his girlfriend is pregnant with twins. But even more shocking is the news from Onchan's parents that her father has been diagnosed with cancer and doesn't have much time to live. Onchan decides to keep her pregnancy a secret from everyone except her best friend Jintanat. While they are going through all these struggles, they realize how much their friendship means to them and become more than friends...Director Pimpaka Towira stated that she decided to adapt this story for film because it is romantic and touching. She also pointed out that the story focuses on the life of teenagers and viewers will be able to notice some similarities between Jintanat and herself. This novel has been popular in Thailand since its original publication in 2000 and has sold over 1 million copies. A small clip from this film was released on Youtube on March 2, 2015. The official trailer for this film was released on March 9, 2015. The three-part film will be released in Thai cinemas on March 24, 2015 (Easter Sunday) and in Malaysia on April 3. The movie was filmed at Chulalongkorn University, Thailand. Many famous persons were invited to the press conference including, for example, Tom Yum Goong 2 director Prachya Pinkaew, actress Dada Pornpetrungroj (Aum), and actors Warunee Tongrajikorn (Jarunee) and Kanchana Boonchaudhuri (the author of the novel).
